Cookie Policy

What this policy covers

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Sites can also save information in your browser's local storage and session storage. This policy explains which of these Cradley uses on searchcradley.com, why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Our approach

  • Necessary cookies and storage are always on. They keep you signed in, remember your choices, and make features you ask for work.
  • Analytics is off until you choose to turn it on, by selecting Accept on our cookie notice or switching it on in Your Privacy Choices.
  • Session recording is a separate choice, also off until you choose to turn it on, and only runs while analytics is on.
  • Marketing cookies are not in use. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party ad pixels.

Necessary cookies and storage

These are set by Cradley itself and are needed for the site to work, so they can't be switched off in our settings. On secure connections, sign-in cookie names may start with __Secure-.

  • cradley.session_token

    Keeps you signed in.

    Cookie · 30 days

  • cradley.session_data

Caches your sign-in so pages load faster.

    Cookie · 5 minutes

  • Other cradley.* sign-in cookies

Temporary security checks while you sign in with Google or connect an app to your account.

Cookie · Up to 10 minutes

  • cradley_consent

Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask on every visit.

    Cookie · 1 year

  • sidebar_state

Remembers whether you left the dashboard sidebar open or closed.

    Cookie · 7 days

  • waitlist_bypass, search_bypass

Remembers early-access links while Cradley is in preview.

    Cookie · 1 year

  • cradley-meal:*, cradley-visits:*, cradley-announcement:*

Stores the private key for a meal train, visit schedule, or baby announcement you created or joined, so you can keep managing it from this browser.

Local storage · Until you clear it

  • provider-onboarding-draft:*

Older versions of Cradley saved unfinished provider profiles here; we now save them to your account instead. If one is left over, we move it to your account or delete it the next time you open provider sign-up or your provider dashboard.

Local storage · Until you return to provider sign-up or your dashboard, or clear site data

  • provider-welcome-shown, provider-cta-dismissed

Remembers that you've seen or dismissed a welcome message or banner.

Local storage · Until you clear it (the banner reappears after 7 days)

  • cradley_pending_intent

When you sign up or sign in to save, message, review, or add a provider to your care team, remembers that action and which provider so we can finish it once you're signed in. It stays in this browser.

Local storage · Removed once used; ignored after 24 hours

  • cradley_utm, cradley_utm_sent

Notes which of our campaigns (for example, an Instagram post) brought you here, so we can credit it if you sign up. It describes our campaign, not you.

Session storage · Until you close the tab

  • search-demand:*

Random IDs that stop us counting the same search twice in our own totals. Never your search terms or an ID for you.

Session storage · Until you close the tab

Analytics (optional)

If you turn analytics on, we load PostHog to record pageviews, clicks, and feature use. We strip search terms and ZIP codes from page addresses before anything is sent. Nothing below is set until you opt in.

  • ph_<project>_posthog

Set by PostHog, our analytics provider, to recognize your browser across visits and measure which pages and features are used.

    Cookie · 1 year

  • ph_<project>_posthog

PostHog's copy of the same analytics settings, used alongside the cookie.

Local storage · Until you clear it

Session recording (optional)

If you also turn on session recording, PostHog records how pages are used so we can find and fix confusing screens. Everything you type into forms is masked, and messages between you and providers are excluded from recordings. Recording uses the same PostHog cookie and storage listed above.

Third-party sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, you'll briefly visit Google, which may set its own cookies on its own website under Google's privacy policy. We don't control those cookies.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends it, we keep analytics, session recording, and marketing off automatically and don't show the cookie notice.

Changing your choices

You can change your choices at any time from in the site footer or on the Your Privacy Choices page. Turning analytics off stops PostHog from collecting anything further. You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings, though blocking necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the date above. If a change affects optional cookies, we'll ask for your choice again.
